Our History:

The Baptist Church at Moosomin was formed on October 27, 1885 and was first known as the "Regular Baptist Church of Moosomin, North West Territories." It is one of the oldest existing Baptist Union churches of the North West Territories.

The first services were held variously in the Orange hall, the Presbyterian Church or the Academy Hall. In 1892 a church building was constructed. The group subsequently became known as the Broadway Baptist Church. A full range of programs was developed including Sunday School beginning in 1892, a Baptist Young People's Union in 1898, a Mission Band for children in 1902, and a Mission Circle in 1912.

Until 1961 MBC shared a pastor with Kipling, SK and Virden, MB. In 1965, after the donation of property, a new church was built on the present site, with a mortgage burning in 1973.  During this time the name of the church was changed to the Moosomin Baptist Church.  An extension of the existing building which included a gym began in 1989.
